Component 2B in the btec tech award Child Development. Demonstrate how children’s learning can be supported through play. This is a whole unit of work which follows the Pearson text book. All lessons and resources provided. Lessons follow a 4 part structure- connect, activate, demonstrate and consolidate. Lessons include a big question and success criteria for the lesson.

Whole component for Btech Child Development Tech Award. Live lessons done on Microsoft Teams on component 2b. These are teaching and learning lessons and resources which have been done live and students do no have access to the textbook. There is 5 lessons on learning aim 2b: planning play opportunities planning physical play 0-18 months planning cog and intellectual play 0-18 months planning communication and lang play 0-18 months planning social and emotional play 0-18 months The lessons follow a 4 part structure as they would in school. They include a big question and success criteria.

These two lesson are based on Pearson Btec Tech awards CHILD DEVELOPMENT and HEALTH AND SOCIAL They are taster sessions for year 8’s and will be delivered on Microsoft TEAMS. The include small tasks, examples of work and big questions we ask in both subjects. As they are aimed at year 8 they do not discuss assessment but rather the hands on/vocational approach btec follows.

This resource is the revision guide for the component 3c. There is currently no revision book for the course. It is the Btec Pearson course. There are some brief activities but it is mainly knowledge for the exam component.

This is a help sheet for students completing the assignment for assignment 2b It focuses on the activities and resources which will help learning and development. This guidance sheets contains examples of resources and activities and modeled examples of paragraphs. There is some sentence starters and connectives for weaker pupils. This is the task from the assignment brief: You will be assessing play activities and resources for children, you should include the following information: For each age group, 0-18 months, 18months-3 years and 3-5 years, you must provide examples of play activities and resources that could be used to promote each area of development (physical, social, communication and language, cognitive/intellectual and emotional learning). You must then choose two play activities and resources for two different age ranges and discuss how each activity or resource would promote different areas of development, giving detailed examples to assess the extent to which each activity or resource is likely to promote children’s physical, social, communication and language, cognitive/intellectual and emotional learning. Provide a conclusion in your information booklet about which of your chosen activities and resources are most likely to benefit children’s learning.
